Roles and Responsibilities
Our warehouse associates are responsible for handling the receipt, storage, and shipment of food products. This includes unloading deliveries, organizing inventory, picking and packing orders, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the warehouse.
The role also involves quality control, operating equipment, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Receiving Goods: Unloading deliveries from trucks, checking for damaged or missing items, and verifying the accuracy of shipments against purchase orders.
- Picking and Packing Orders: Retrieving items from storage locations and packing them into containers for shipment to customers or distribution centers.
- Quality Control: Checking products for quality and freshness, removing any damaged or expired items, and ensuring that all goods meet food safety standards.
- Operating Equipment: Safely operating equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery used for handling and moving goods.
- Loading and Unloading Vehicles: Assisting with the loading and unloading of delivery trucks and other vehicles as needed.
- Teamwork and Communication: Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations, and communicating effectively with supervisors and other staff.
